Pillow Pets

Recently we bought the kids Pillow Pets. They are animals that are a "pet" when folded up, and when unfolded are a pillow. They have been advertised on TV for a while now and Nathan REALLY wanted one. He would go around the house singing the theme song from the commercial: "It's a pillow; it's a pet; it's a Pillow Pet!" One day he came into the living room and asked me to go to the Pillow Pet website. And, I did and because I did I was declared the best mom in the world! (If I had known that's all it took, I would have gone to the website a long time ago :) After going to the website, he kept asking/begging on almost a daily basis for a Pillow Pet, and we kept telling him he wasn't getting one. Well, unbeknownst to him, Marcus and I decided to get him (and Lindsay) one and save it until the end of the school year as a happy for him having a great year. We got Nathan a penguin, which he named Pengy, and Lindsay got a monkey, which we call Monk-Monk. He was so excited when he saw his pillow pet in the car (we gave it to him as we were on our way to Nana & Pops'). Well, we KNEW Nathan would love his Pillow Pet but thought it would take a while for Lindsay to really care about it. But, no, the baby girl loves her Pillow Pet, too. It is so cute to see her go up to it and love on it. Needless to say, we've already got our money's worth out of the toys.
